Replacing the Palm Rest

Procedure

1 Slide the headset port into the slot on the palm rest and align the screw

holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest

assembly.

2 Replace the screws that secure the system board to the palm-rest

assembly.

Post-requisites

1 Replace the status-light board.

2 Replace the power-adapter port.

3 Replace the display assembly.

4 Replace the speakers.

5 Replace the I/O board.

6 Replace the heat sink.

7 Replace the base frame.

8 Replace the keyboard.

9 Replace the fan.

10 Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 5 in replacing the hard drive.

11 Replace the battery.

12 Replace the base cover.
