Routing Input
Some commands require files as input. Here are some examples:
file in the user's home
directory
restore my_config.xml
configuration in the file. Tab
completion is available for
choosing the file.
drive
restore --input-usb my_config.xml
Reads a configuration from the
USB drive. Tab completion is
available for the files on the USB
drive; you are limited to choosing
from files available there.
source
restore --input-scp
user@host:my_config.xml
Reads the configuration using
Unix security copy; you will be
prompted for a password.
Windows share
restore --input-share
domain/user@host/shareName/my_config.xml
Reads the configuration from a
Windows share; you will be
prompted for a password.
URL
restore --input-url
http://host:port/my_config.xml
Uses the http protocol to read
the configuration from the given
host/port and filename.
URL
restore --input-url
ftp://user:password@host/path/my_config.
xml
Uses the ftp protocol to read a
configuration file. You must
specify the password in the URL.
