114 Removing and Installing Parts

NOTICE: To connect a network cable, first plug the cable into the network device and then plug it into
the computer.

Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.

Enter system setup (see page 119) and restore the settings you recorded in step 1.

Properly dispose of the old battery. See the
Product Information Guide
for battery disposal
information.
Closing the Computer Cover

Ensure that all cables are connected, and fold cables out of the way.

Ensure that no tools or extra parts are left inside the computer.

Pivot the cover down and into position.

Press down on the cover to close it.
5
Once the cover is closed, slide the release latch to the right until the latch clicks into place.

If you are using a padlock to secure your computer, install the padlock.
NOTICE: To connect a network cable, first plug the cable into the network wall jack and then plug it into
the computer.

Connect your computer and devices to electrical outlets, and turn them on.
