Removing the Microphone

Replacing the Microphone



Removing the Microphone



1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.



2. Press and eject any installed cards from the ExpressCard slot and the 8-in-1 memory card reader.



3. Remove any installed memory modules and Mini-Cards (see Memory and Communication Cards).



4. Follow the instructions in Removing the Palm Rest.



5. Disconnect the microphone cable connector.



6. Remove the microphone from the computer base.

Replacing the Microphone



1. Place the microphone in the computer base.



2. Connect the microphone cable to the connector on the system board.



3. Follow the instructions in Replacing the Palm Rest.



4. Reinstall the memory modules and Mini-Cards, if any.



5. Reinstall any removed cards in the ExpressCard and 8-in-1 card slots.


