High computing performance through Intel® Pentium® M processors and the Intel

855PM chipset

The Dell Precision M60 mobile workstation features the latest mobile core technology from Intel, the Intel

Pentium M processor and the Intel 855 PM chipset. Intel® Pentium® M processors are based on a new

micro-architecture that delivers high computing power through the use of advanced techniques including

micro-ops fusion and advanced branch prediction. The Intel Pentium M processor also supports a 400MHz

power optimized system bus, a 1MB low power L2 cache, and enhanced Intel® SpeedStep® Technology. The

Dell Precision M60 supports up to 2GB DDR333MHz high speed memory.

Spectacular graphics and vibrant Dell UltraSharpTM Wide Aspect LCD display

The Dell Precision M60 features the new NVIDIA® Quadro

FX Go700 graphics subsystem with 128MB of

128-bit DDR memory and hardware accelerated OpenGL support for graphics-intensive workstation

applications. This 4X AGP solution features programmable pixel and vertex shaders, a high performance GPU,

tuned application utilities to enhance performance while running key CAD and DCC applications, and support

for dual external displays. The Dell Precision M60 also offers a Wide Aspect Ratio, 15.4" UltraSharp

WUXGA Active Matrix (TFT) display with 1920 x 1200 resolution or a WSXGA+ display with 1680 x 1050

resolution. The UltraSharp LCD technology improves viewing clarity with higher brightness and wider viewing

capabilities than standard LCD displays.

ISV certifications

The Dell Precision M60 mobile workstation is certified on a wide variety of workstation class software

applications including those in the MCAD, DCC, AEC and MCAE segments.

Docking solutions

The D-Family docking solutions supported on the Dell Precision M60 allow you to enhance the functionality of

mobile workstations - the D/View notebook stand elevates the notebook's LCD to a comfortable viewing

position, and the D/Port Advanced Port Replicator and the D/Dock Expansion Station provide a comprehensive

set of ports and connectivity options, including dual video ports (one VGA and one DVI) for external monitor

connectivity.

Dell wired and wireless networking solutions

The Dell Precision M60 supports a wireless networking mini-PCI card, 56K

V.92 capable modem and

10/100/1000 wired network controller. The wireless options include a choice of either the TrueMobile

wireless

LAN solutions or the Intel® Pro Wireless MiniPCI card. The Dell Precision M60 also features an optional

TrueMobile 300 integrated Bluetooth solution. With Gigabit

Ethernet standard on this system, workstation users

can achieve high data rate transfers across their network (dependent on the network infrastructure) and benefit

from investment protection for future network upgrades to Gigabit

Ethernet speeds.

The integrated Smart Card reader in the Dell Precision M60, when used in combination with applicable
