Sliding rail system
Sliding rails allow the system to be fully extended out of the rack for service and are
available with or without the optional cable management arm (CMA) and optional strain
relief bar (provided with the CMA).

Sliding rails support 19” width tool-less mounting, EIA-310-E compliant square hole and
unthreaded round hole 4-post racks. The rails also support tooled mounting in threaded
hole 4-post racks, but the rails do not support mounting in 2-post (Telco) racks.

Key factors impacting the fit of the rail in a rack include the spacing between the front and rear
mounting flanges of the rack, the type and location of any equipment mounted in the back of the
rack such as power distribution units (PDUs), and the overall depth of the rack.
