Use this menu selection to change printer settings, remove jobs, set up printer hardware, and troubleshoot printer problems.
PostScript Menu
Use this menu selection to change printer settings that affect jobs using the PostScript printer language.
PCL Emul Menu
Use this menu selection to change printer settings that affect jobs using the PCL emulation printer language.
To select printed output resolution.
600 dpi*

Lightens or darkens printed output and conserves toner.
8* is the default setting.
Select a lower number to lighten the printed output or save toner.
Adjusts the gray value of printed objects.
0* is the default setting.
Adjusts the contrast of printed objects.
0* is the default setting.
Returns printer settings to the factory default values.
User-defined settings remain.
All menu items are returned to the factory default values except:
l Display Language.
l All settings in the Parallel Menu, Serial Menu, Network Menu,
and USB Menu.
l Resources residing in flash memory or on the hard disk.
NOTE: All downloaded resources (fonts, macros, and symbol sets) in
printer memory (RAM) are deleted.

Selecting a menu value only affects jobs that are resident in the
printer. Bookmarks and other types of held jobs are not affected.
Prints a listing of all job statistics stored on the hard
disk, or clears all statistics on the disk.
Prints all statistics available for the most recent print jobs.
Deletes all accumulated job statistics from the hard disk.
Helps isolate the source of a print job problem.
With Hex Trace selected, all data sent to the printer is printed in
hexadecimal and character representation. Control codes are not
executed.
NOTE: To exit Hex Trace, turn the printer off, or reset the printer:
1. Press the Stop button .
2. Press the Down arrow button until appears next to
Reset printer, and then press the Select button .
Provides an estimate of the percent coverage of black
toner on a page. The estimate is printed on a
separator page.
Percent coverage is not printed.
Prints the estimated percentage of toner coverage on the page.
Prints a page defining the PostScript emulation error when an error occurs.
Discards the print job without printing an error message.
Prints an error message before it discards the job.
Determines the set of fonts
Displays all fonts resident in printer RAM when the printer ships from the factory.
